Letz Dance is run by Mandy Henderson and Ian Smith

Mandy and Ian enjoy Argentine Tango, Salsa and West Coast Swing. These are all social partner dances that are based on spontaneity and a good lead and follow. Our speciality is in fusing elements of these different dances. Over the last two years we have developed a Neo Tango style that we have been teaching and performing at all the major weekend events. (See credits below).

Mandy Henderson
I
am an ex professional dancer and choreographer who has danced all over the world. I now teach all forms of dance and Pilates full time. I have been teaching dance since the age of 18 and was a professional dancer for 10 years. I discovered Modern Jive in London in 1990 but went fairly infrequently in those days. I started to get more serious about it around 5 years later and at the same time started to teach Salsa. Social partner dancing is now a passion of mine and my dream would be for everyone to be able to dance in this way, at any time and in any place - wherever the mood took them!! I would also love to see it taught in schools. It's a fabulous form of communication between two people that transcends class and language barriers!

Ian Smith
I have loved dancing since I was a teen clubbing in London to the old Soul, Funk and Jazz tunes. I started Modern Jive and Salsa in 2004. I went on my first weekender four weeks later and was hooked by the huge social scene. My eye was naturally drawn to the top dancers who infused other dance styles, rhythm and musicality. It was like I had found the passion that I had enjoyed so much in my youth. As a professional martial arts teacher it was only natural for me to join Mandy teaching dance when we got together. I started Argentine Tango as soon as it arrived in Bournemouth in 2005. Like Mandy this dance has become a passion for me. Both Mandy and I became interested in West Coast Swing about 5 years ago. We started teaching WCS at the beginning of 2007.

Dancing has invoked another of my passions...music. Now that we are involved in West Coast Swing, Modern Jive, Salsa and Tango I spend many hours searching for great music to dance to. I take great pleasure in discovering a new track that no one else is playing, but one that instantly makes you want to dance. I realise this passion at our freestyle events as well as DJing on the major weekenders.
